Alice and the Digital Dump

Digging in the sand as a child at the British seaside, adults were fond of warning not to dig too deep or I might drop right through to Australia. What nonsense, I thought, but how fascinating, like Alice falling down the hole to Wonderland. Not so nonsensical now, I wake up my computer and come out in Australia, Japan, USA, or Canada.
